How do I activate and use Quick Submit for a plagiarism check?

Updated on

If a paper needs to to be checked for plagiarism without having the student submit their paper themselves, you can use the Quick Submit option on Turnitin.com.

This article will explain how to log in to Turnitin.com, how to active the Quick Submit functionality and how to use it.

PLEASE NOTE! Submissions handed in by you via Turnitin.com using Quick Submit do not sync back to Brightspace.

This means that the submissions that are done via Turnitin.com, are not visible in Brightspace, nor for the student you handed the assignment in for.

Step 1: First time log into Turnitin.com - Create a Turnitin Assignment via Brightspace & Reset your Password first

If you have never logged in to Turnitin.com you should first reset your password, before you can actually log in. Turnitin knows you exist via Brightspace, but you need to set a password first.
