Updated on

The most important points are listed again below. The list is in the order in which the notifications appear in the manual.

  • If you log in for the first time into the video portal you will get the following message: "The Service Provider being authenticated has requested account federation with this site..." You must accept this request by pressing 'Yes'. For more information click here
  • All media you add is intially only visible to you on your 'My media' page. You can find this on the video portal under 'My Media in the user menu'. For more information click here
  • Accepting the terms and conditions is necessary to upload videos through the video portal. For more information click here.
  • Only video coordinators can share videos outside the video portal. Please contact them to share your video outside the video portal.
  • Carefully read all the text on the information bars. They might be blue, green or red. They provide additional information about, for example, a failed or successful action.
  • Withdrawing a video (unpublishing) is done via the same menu option as publishing a video. For more information click here.
  • The  difference between '(Required)' and '* Required To Publish' is that the former is required to be able to upload the video. The latter is required to be able to share the video with others.
  • Note: If you turn off the 'add comments' option for a video, all comments already made will remain visible and findable. If you turn off the 'discussion' option for a video, all comments already made will not be visible and cannot be found. They will still exist in the background.
  • If you have any questions about the video portal, please contact the ISSC helpdesk (tel: 8888 or mail: [email protected]).
