In this article, we explain how to log in to and log out of Ans. As of September 11, 2026, the login method has changed. Click the links below to go directly to a specific section:
Please note: Always log out of Ans when using it on a public or unmanaged device, such as an instructor PC in a classroom.
How to log in to Ans
1. Go to ans.app.
2. Click on Log in with your school account.
3. Select Universiteit Leiden from the menu. You can make use of the search bar.
4. Enter your email address on the login screen.
Please note: Use your ULCN-username, followed by @vuw.leidenuniv.nl.
Example: [email protected].
5. Enter your password.
6. If needed, follow the steps for your chosen multi-factor authentication method.
7. You are now logged in to Ans.
How to log out of Ans
With the new login method, your information is retained for a longer period of time. Therefore, you will need to actively log out when using Ans on devices other than your work laptop.
1. Open your Ans menu.
2. Select Log out.
