Signing up for Ans

ANS has three environments: the production environment, the stage environment, and the education environment. As a teacher, you will mainly work with the production environment and the education environment.

  • Production enivornment: in this environment, you can develop and manage assignments, questions, tests, and item banks. In this environment, you develop tests for end use.
  • Stage environment: new releases, or updates to Ans, are tested in this environment. As a user, this is not relevant for everyday use.
  • Education environment: in this environment, users can practise using Ans. You can practise creating tests, developing item banks and managing questions. To access this environment, you can request an account via your faculty's functional administrator. See this manual for more information. Please note: tests for end use are always created in the production environment..

Log in to Ans

Click on the headings to see how to log in for each environment.

Production environment
  1. Go to the productieomgeving.
  2. Click on log in with your school account.

3. Select Universiteit Leiden. Enter the name in the search bar at the top to search faster.

4. Log in with your UCLN account.

5. Click on login.

6. You are now successfully logged in.

Because we work with Single Sign-On (SSO) in the production environment, you can easily switch to other digital environments. For example, Brightspace will link you directly to Ans without you having to log in separately.

Education environment

Please note: to log in to the educational environment, you need a self-created account. Want to know more? See this manual on how to request an account.

  1. Go to the education environment.
  2. Enter your login details.

3. You are now successfully logged in.
