In this manual, you will discover all the important features of the Schoolyear dashboard. You will learn what each feature does, how to use it, and why you might want to use it. We will cover the following topics in order:
Adjust profile settings
In the dashboard, you can customise the dashboard to your preferences in the profile settings, including the language setting of the dashboard.
- Go to the Schoolyear dashboard.
- Click on the profile icon in the top right corner.
- In the menu that appears, select Profile settings and change the desired preferences (such as language).
Adjust security settings (Settings widget)
In the Settings widget, you can adjust a number of additional Schoolyear settings for a specific test.
- Go to the Schoolyear dashboard.
- Click Edit Exam in the top right corner.
- You will be taken to the Settings widget, where the security options are available.
Share dashboard with colleagues
Please note: Each exam has its own dashboard. The button from Ans to Schoolyear was generated by Ans and is not secure. Therefore, if you share the dashboard, please ensure that this link is only shared with trustworthy individuals.
The dashboard contains a specific dashboard link that you can share with colleagues. This allows colleagues who do not normally have access to the dashboard to view student activities for a test.
- Open the exam-specific Schoolyear dashboard.
- At the top right of the screen, click Share.
- Select Share with Proctors.
- Click Copy to copy the link.
- Send the copied link to your colleague. Once they have logged in, their name will appear in the list under all users with access.
Export student logbook
The export function allows you to generate a printout of student activities per test.
- Go to the exam-specific dashboard.
- Select the relevant student.
- At the top right of the screen, click on the three dots (more options).
- Select Save as PDF.
Remove blockage: restart
This is a block that prevents a student from reopening the test (resume). There are two ways to release this block: via the invigilator code, or via a button in the dashboard (Allow restart).
Method 1: Releasing the surveillance code (zie hier)
Method 2: Via the 'Allow restart' button in the Schoolyear dashboard Step-by-Step:
Go to the exam-specific Schoolyear dashboard.
Click on the student's name on the left side of the screen.
Select the dots at the top right of the student activity screen.
Click 'Allow restart' to release the block screen.
Remove Blockage:Yellow Screen
Zie ook hier.
The yellow fraud screen is a protective measure activated by Schoolyear when it detects suspicious activity on the student's device. A proctor can choose to release the yellow fraud screen by using the proctor pin code from the dashboard.
- Go to the exam-specific Schoolyear dashboard.
- Select 'Reveal Proctor Code' in the top right corner of the screen. The proctor pin code will be displayed.
- Ask the proctor to enter the proctor pin code in the field provided on the student's screen.
- The student will then be able to continue with the exam.
When the yellow fraud screen is released, the Schoolyear dashboard will display a lock symbol in the student's log as an indication that the yellow screen has been released using the proctor pin code. Additionally, on the student's screen, 'Security Override' will appear in the lower left corner of the Schoolyear bar, along with the number of times the security has been overridden (by entering the proctor pin code).
